NetOffice Revitalised

15/11/2006

Some time ago, I had some plans for a revitalised version of NetOffice that got shelved due to staff shortages.

Well, we’re almost back to where we need to be and I’ve dusted off the folder ready to get back into it!

Will probably take a few weeks to get back up to speed. Will post again when we have something to show.

Don’t know how much will get done now before Christmas… but what do you need done?

I was checking into recent forks of netOffice and found a pretty good one at dwins.com.

I’m wondering if your mods are similar. We’re getting ready to role this thing out for our organization’s Communications department.

Thought I would pass this along.

    Brandon,

I’m heading in the other direction to the Dwins version – I plan to simplify it, not add too many extra features. Please see this post for my original thoughts:

Thanks, Jason. I look forward to seeing your results. However, I would also like to echo how important the client-side sites are to us, as well as the ability to estimate and track task hours.

Again, thanks for all the work.

    Jason,

Good to see that you’re considering taking this on once again.

I’ve commented in the past that I need the time tracking feature of the Dwins version. It’s simple and easy to use.

I don’t use the client site, even though I thought it was a great feature at first.

    Good luck with the project.
